When 2017 was slipping away I promised myself that 2018 was going to be the year of travel. Though I did do some traveling my feeling towards 2018 is that it was the year of "settling down."
The beginning of the year started off with a whirlwind of change. I changed careers, changed companies, transitioned from having a retail schedule to a M-F, and went from apartment dwelling to house living. That's a whole lot! And all within the month of April.
When I look back on 2018 I think, "Man, I didn't do much" but in reality I had an eventful year!
- January -
- February - 5 year wedding anniversary. Found our little house and signed lease.
- March -
- April - birthday, Fiesta!, started new job, moved into house
- June - Houston Astros game
- July - Foster the People concert
- August - Pop Cats show
- September - Portland, Oregon / Seattle, Washington
- October -
- November -
- December -
So granted I wasn't jet setting to Paris or anything spectacular like that BUT I still had a fun year! For the months that are blank I probably did do something fun that I just can't recall at the moment.
2019 is already starting to look like fun. Seeing my favorite comedian in January (if they stop changing the dates!), 6 year wedding anniversary (hearts!), planning a tin-finitiy with my best friend (ooh Canadaaaa), planning a trip to either Big Bend or Garner State Park with the hubs, planning a trip to Marfa, TX! So maybe 2019 will be the year of travel?!
This weekend I'm going to set myself down and make a Vision Board. I've always had one but after getting married I put that away. I think it's time to re-introduce myself to that concept.
