The 80s Called...They Want Their Blouse Back...

I'll be the first to admit that I am NOT a big fan of the 80s (gasp!).  The music, movies, cars, fashion...it's not really my thing.  BUT that doesn't mean I'm not open to a good ol' off-the-shoulder blouse every now and then.  Case in point:

As I was browsing the racks at the Goodwill on 410, not having much luck, I spotted this little number in the XXL section.  A little tip is to not limit yourself to what your size is but take a look at everything searching for patterns, colors, and fabrics that you like.  A lot of the time sizes get moved around by customers so just keep your mind and your eyes open.  Plus if there's something you like and it's a pinch too big or too small, take it to a seamstress!

Anyway-I found this and instantly fell in love!  I'm not one to wear black but if it's adorned with sparkly sparkles then I'm game!

Now to #bragaboutthetag: $4.29!  Total total total steal!
This is one of the combos I'll be sporting this look with.  All times on here are thrifted.  The bag is from my last entry and the jeans are from my favorite consignment shop Uptown Cheapskate.  The whole outfit cost me less than $13!  To all you nay-sayers that have preconceived prejudices against shopping second hand I hope you see that it is possible to look cute from thrift stores.

Dream Sweater

A few things I love: sparkles, style, a good deal.

One of my favorite places to shop, besides Goodwill, is a pretty rad consignment shop called Uptown Cheapskate. The quality, style, and price of clothing at this chain is better (in my opinion) than other resale shops that I've been to.

Case in point: my new J. Crew sweater.

Seriously how adorable is this sweater? It retailed at $118 in store but I was able to snag it at $8 at Uptown Cheapskate!

I love J.Crew but with my budget the brand is not affordable for me right now. So thank goodness for stores like Uptown Cheapskate for allowing people with tight purse strings like yours truly to still be able to purchase our favorite brands and not go broke!

Thanks for stopping by to read my blog!  Leave comments and check out my eBay page!
