Working Class Hero
Finally wore my Working Class Hero shirt today. Paired it with wide leg jeans and close toed wedges and a leather jacket. I'm a self admitted graphic tee addict and even though I hardly wear them I had to have this one. Especially for only $1!

The Dress
I'm going to keep this post pretty short and sweet as I have some "cooking" to do for work's potluck tomorrow. By "cooking" I mean making mac and cheese for the first time.
Remember that dress I bought from the Buffalo Exchange Outlet? The black and white one that I could see paired with a black blouse underneath. Well I found a black long sleeve blouse at a Goodwill in McAllen (photoed in my previous post) and put them together for running errands today.
Here's the look:
All in all I'm pretty pleased with the look. Very school yard vibe-ish.
Like I said this is going to be short and sweet. Till next time!

Valley Haul
If you follow my snapchat and instagram (both under CynthiaEdee) then you know that I'm currently in the valley visiting my parents. Being home is always a great escape from my normal day-to-day stress because of the food, weather, and of course being with my family.
My mom is a fellow thrifter and is actually the real reason I am a thrifter myself so we spent a good part of yesterday and today going to different consignment shops and Goodwills and here's my haul:
A little overwhelming so I'll break it down by store:
I found all of these at the Goodwill in Harlingen. Honestly, I have enough screen print tees that I don't wear BUT I really liked this one of John Lennon. What can I say, I'm easily suckered in. I'll probably wear it with my leather skirt and black ankle booties. So the story with the Lacoste polo is this: When I was in college (2003-2008) I really really really really wanted a Lacoste polo but I wasn't going to spend $80 for one. That's just crazy. So when I saw this one at Goodwill for $3.59 I said, what the hey, and bought it. Looking at it now I think it might be too small...whoops. Either way I fulfilled my early 2000 girl dream of owning a Lacoste polo. The item to the far right is a sweater with small rosettes all over it. What I really wanted it for was as a background to take closeups of jewelry so I doubt I'll wear it much. All-in-all this haul was less than $11.
These three items were found today at the Goodwill in McAllen on Nolana. When walking in to that location I was immediately turned off. It was disheveled and each cart I grabbed made loud gunshot noises that I opted to shop without a cart instead (which is pretty uncomfortable if your purse is heavy). I was already ready to give-up and go to another location when I spotted the dress. I think it's supposed to be a beach cover up but it looks really cute on and I'll wear those Hollister Co. shorts underneath it. I LOVE that blush sweater to the far right. It's light, a little oversized, and will be perfect to wear with shorts or jeans. Spring in South Texas is where it's warm in the sun and freezing in the shade so mixing long sleeve with shorts/skirts is a go-to look for me. Plus blush is a color I'd like to start incorporating into my wardrobe more.
Last are these two blouses which might possibly be re-donated back to Goodwill if they don't go with the outfits I intended them for. The grey blouse is to go with that blue and red skirt from my previous post and the black blouse is going to be paired with the white and black dress from my previous post, as well. I'm not particularly attached to these two pieces so if they don't work out I won't be bummed out. Plus they were only $3.59 a piece so no harm done.
So all-in-all a pretty productive shopping trip to the thrift stores in the valley. I'm definitely spoiled by my San Antonio Goodwills but that doesn't mean that the valley doesn't have anything to offer.
I'll be sure to take pictures of my thrifted items as I wear them.

Skirt Dilema
I recently found this skirt at a local Goodwill and instantly fell in love with it. If you know me then you know I'm typically wearing dresses and skirts so I can never get enough of them. The color combo isn't my usual go-to look but sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone.
As you can see this is a very full skirt so the top would have to be something form fitting. I could go for the traditional navy blue blouse, and I might, but I would like to add a third color in to the mix. Here are some on my "pinspirations":
We'll see what I put with it. Friendly tip: If you're looking for an article of clothing to go with something specific then take that something specific with you. Now i'm going to head off to Goodwill with my skirt in the attempt of finding a top. Happy thrifting!

Buffalo Exchange Outlet
Decided to try somewhere NEW today for my thrift shopping fix. I still love my Goodwill finds but you have to give yourself some time in between visits or you run the risk of only seeing repeat items. With that being said I decided to finally visit the Buffalo Exchange Outlet that we have right here in San Antonio. If you've every been to a Buffalo Exchange (regular shop) then you know that the style is edgy, hipster, fun, stylish, etc. I used to go to the one in Austin all the time when I was in college.
I'll admit I didn't know what I was going to find in there. I'm pretty open-minded but even an outlet store for me is a little "out there" but I went in with an open mind and here's what I found:
I'd been not-so-aggressively looking for a dress like this. I can picture it with a black long sleeve blouse underneath, and either black tights with grey booties OR nude tights with my black over the knee suede boots. The brand is Soprano and can be found at TJ Maxx or Marshalls and was $7.
This peplum is gorgeous! And it's from Topshop! The pearls and rhinestones are very much my style .
Last is this top which you can't tell very well but the print is hearts. I was a little on the fence about the shirt but when I tried it on it looked very Zooey Deschanel! Plus for only $4 if I don't like it I can redonate it back. The brand is Cooperate and is sold at Urban Outfitters.
Now let me be very honest and open right now: The Soprano dress and the Topshop peplum did need some TLC. There was a small rip on the dress which was easily fixed by needle and thread and the peplum is missing it's button to clasp the back. I need to find a pearl or rhinestone one. Little things like that were what I was expecting by coming to an outlet but if it's something easily fixable I won't turn down an item. If it's something like a stubborn stain that will not come out then I will let that impact my decision but these were little touches that are fixed in a jiffy.
The cool thing about this location is NOTHING is over $7! Again, if you're going thrift shopping you have to be open minded! If you're not then you've ruined all the fun and pretty much set yourself up to not find anything.
Hope this inspired some of y'all to visit a local consignment shop!

It Has Pockets!
Hi all! Time to talk about this adorable dress my mama sponsored for me whilst visiting my sister in Plano in the beginning of December:
Seriously, how cute is this dress? Funny thing is I had seen this dress at a Goodwill here in San Antonio but it was a size small and didn't fit around my waist. I was bummed, tried to convince myself to buy it anyway with hopes of losing an inch or two around my middle, but logic stepped in and laughed and laughed and laughed at my losing weight plan, thus i left the dress behind. It wasn't that big of a deal so I forgot about the dress UNTIL my family went to visit my sister in Plano and viola! There the dress was again in a size MEDIUM!
Truth be told the dress is a little on the short side so I knew it would have to be paired with tights. The weather in San Antonio has been cold, cold, cool, cool, cold, freezing, cool, warm, cold lately meaning I get to bust out my tights!
I love the colors of this dress, the print, and style, the fit, everything! Best of all, it has pockets! The brand is Peppermint and was only $6. La la love it!

Christmas in San Antonio
Merry Christmas!!!
I was fortunate to be off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year. I've been so swamped with work that I haven't had a chance to take advantage of the beautiful Christmas scenery that San Antonio has to offer.
Isaac and I went to have a fancy schmancy dinner and then to go see the lights at The Pearl and downtown. I was torn between two dresses but in the end my Mustard Seed dress prevailed.
I found my dress for $9.99 at the Goodwill in Stone Oak. I've had it for a while but had nowhere to wear it to. The belt is from Uptown Cheapskate and is ASOS and was $3.99.
The purse and shoes aren't thrifted but have been in my closet for a long time.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and look forward to my NYE outfit!

I Have A Fever & the Only Remedy is MORE SEQUINS!
Working in retail right now means no time for any personal shopping. Today was my day off so I finally hit up my favorite GW and was able to snag this sequin top from Forever21:
I still don't have a bottom to wear with it and have been asking my social media friends for some ideas. So far my favorite are a tutu-inspired bottom or a circle leather skirt. What do you think? BTW-this is a CROP TOP.

Another Purse
I don't know what my thing has been with purses from Goodwill lately but hey, I'm not complaining. Today I wore all black (for obvious reasons) and finally busted out this bag.

I really don't know when I'll use this but at $2 why not?! Pink, sequins, vintage look...what's not to love?!

Oops I Did It Again
I'm consistently inconsistent. I've taken another hiatus from my blogging and I apologize! Not too sure how many readers I have but either way-I'm back!
My posts will more than likely be quick and to the point as I work in retail and we are about to enter our craziest time of the year. But I'll never stop thrift shopping! So expect more mirror pics (my camera phone isn't the greatest after suffering many drops and falls) and on-the-spot blogging while thrifting!

Lips For Days
I'm always excited about my Goodwill/thrift/budget finds but this H&M Lip Formed It-Bag has me over the moon! From the quirky yet cute style to the fact that it's an cross body bag to that it'll be the perfect pop of color any time of the year, it's a complete and total find!

Don't mind my toes |
This bag is circa 2014 and was endorsed by Ashley Benson from the ever popular show Pretty Little Liars. Her all white ensemble is definite inspiration on just one way to wear this handbag. I found this little baby at the Goodwill on I10 and Dezevala for $3.99 and knew I HAD to have it! After purchasing it I literally went straight to my car and immediately switched handbags and began using it. Totally excited about this bag, if you can't tell!

Flowers On The Wall
Let's face it, floral artwork can teeter on the "hotel room" feel at times. However, when you find a piece that is cute, quaint, and charming you've gotta grab it.
I found this piece at the Goodwill on 281 and Thousand Oaks the other day for $2.99. Frames can cost more than the artwork itself so if you find a piece that you like while thrifting and it has a good frame around it I say go for it.
As I continue to blog I'll post more pictures of the other home decor items I've found at Goodwill since moving to San Antonio. Believe me, I have a lot!
Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions or comments feel free to ask below OR shoot me an email at CynthiaEdee@gmail.com. Thanks!

Pink Looks Good On Everything
I've been having some wonderful luck at Goodwill lately! After my sister and brother-in-law left back to Dallas this afternoon Isaac and I made a quick trip to the Goodwill on 281 and Thousand Oaks. I was coming up pretty empty handed in the clothing side so I moseyed myself on over to the shoes and decor section and that's when the Goodwill Gods smiled upon me!
How perfect are these pink New Balance sneakers?! I've been pinning pink sneakers on pinterest lately and I feel like somehow by doing that the sneakers have magically manifested themselves in front of me! The crazier thing is that they are exactly my size and don't appear to have been worn. *cue eerie music*
Currently they are retailing for about $99 online but I was lucky enough to find them for $9.99! Total steal!
Truth be told I'm not much of a tennis shoe person but I do have a thing for sneakers with suede. I can't wait to wear these with skinny jeans in the fall/winter. This heat is no joke and just the thought of wearing pants outdoors during this season makes me break in to a sweat.
Anyway-I'm really excited about this find! I did make other Goodwill purchases today that I'll share in another entry. Thanks for reading!

Be The Pineapple
Pineapples are hot, hot hot, this summer! And why shouldn't they be? They're delicious, nice to look at, and are great in a cocktail.
I found this shirt at the Goodwill on I10 and Dezevala for $2! I've had it since April but I'm not much of a t-shirt girl even though I have a slew of them in my closet. I finally found a combo for wearing tees that works for me: high waisted shorts/jeans with the tee tucked in. Gives it a major 70s vibe. Off topic. Anyway-this shirt is from JC Penney and is adorable. I've seen similar shirts at H&M and Forever21 ranging anywhere between $15-$30 so I'm pretty thrilled that I found this at the price I did.
Feel free to share your favorite pineapple accessories! Besides the shirt this is one of my favorite:
My good friends Victor and Lori gave it to me for Christmas. Describes me to a "T"!
Hope y'all are having fun out there in the summer heat! Stay cool and be sure to donate to your local thrift stores!
