Viola!

I know I've posted a lot about how I like to tie an oversized button down shirt because it makes a huge difference.  I wanted to show you all HOW much of a difference this one easy-peasy styling tactic makes.

Behold-an oversized yet light and breezy button down.  This one is by French Connection and it's seriously the perfect summer shirt.  However look at how over sized it is.

 Like this the shirt looks more on the sloppy and less flattering side.  I have no shape and I look blah.

And here is what it looks like after a little bit of styling:

Viola!  It looks like a completely different outfit!  (Note that I kept the same shorts and shoes.)  I tucked the front part of the shirt in after I tied it with a clear rubber band.  Rolled up my sleeves and unbuttoned an extra button.  Added a metallic gold belt to match my shoes and gold accessories.

Now you can see more of my silhouette and the accessories are all matching and complimentary of each other.   I kept my hair up and popped the collar a little (no not like the early 2000s trend) just for a little more flare.

This was a quick little photo sesh in my living room so apologies that these are mirror pics!  My instagram husband was at work at the time.  Bonus though: that black blob behind me in the second photo is one of our dogs-Garcia!
