Right now my current fashion obsession (besides the palazzo pants) are rompers and jumpsuits. I'll admit that I was one of those that stayed as far away from that look as I could because I felt that I wouldn't be able to "pull it off" and you know what, I was wrong!
Last week I made an impulse purchase of a wide-leg jumpsuit and instantly regretted it until I got home and tried it on. (Yes, I'm one of those who purchases things without trying them on first.) I fell in love with everything about it. It accentuated my long legs (I'm only 5'7" but about 4" of that are my legs), synched at my waist which flattered my body type because I'm a pear (small on top, larger on bottom), and made me look longer and leaner.
Another plus for jumpsuits and rompers is that they are so easy! There is no mix and matching, no pairing a top with a bottom, nothing! All you have to do is have fun with accessories.
Since these one-pieces are a trend and not a staple I purchased mine at Forever 21 so I would be able to score a cute item for an affordable price. I wore a black romper for my husband's birthday outing this past weekend and I got a few compliments on it! I paired it with a rustic gold belt, turquoise statement necklace, and cowboy boots. I wish I would have taken a picture of the entire outfit but I'm camera shy if I'm taking a solo pic. Once I figure out how to make a collage I will post some pics, but until then here are some looks that I like mixed with blasts from the past.
