eBay

Hi all!

I started my first day of work today..well..training and I'm very impressed by the company that I work for.  Everything seems so structured and on point which I LOVE!  I foresee a wonderful future in the horizon.

So while I believe that I need a 50 hour a week job I also have a little side project that gives me much joy and is a stress relief.  Since college I've been eBaying.  Yes, eBaying!

As a college student I worked at J.C. Penney (in men's sportswear) and would eBay anything I could get my hands on.  I would post on Sundays and ship on Tuesdays.  It was my thing and I made some quick cash from it.  After college, though, I put it to rest, though, but moving up to San Antonio and hitting up Goodwills has revamped my love for it.  I'll try to keep the tradition alive and post on Sundays still but with a new work schedule, who knows?!

Either way-I like random, vintage, quirky finds.  Think cute cat mugs, vintage dresses from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, glass sets, and my personal favorite are vintage nightgowns.  I found this one chiffon robe from the 50s that retails around $300 that is still available for purchase.

At times I'll sell my personal items that I don't wear or use anymore in hopes that they'll find a good home.

If you're ever interested check out my eBay!  My inventory right now is kind of low and random because I just sold about 6 items.  My prices are good but my finds are even better.

Till next time!

College Days

One thing I had to do on this quick trip to the valley was go check out my alma mater, UTPA.  Well, now it's UTRGV but once a bronc, always a bronc.  I was lucky enough to find a really cool PanAm shirt for $1 (picture above) at a Goodwill in McAllen and went to the university early this morning for a visit and some picture taking.

I never had my picture taken with the bronc statue so why not now?!

Of course I had to take a picture with the bronco and a typical jumping photo in front of the school.

College of Business Administration Building (COBA)

I was a marketing major and spent about 90% of my undergrad career in this building.  Group presentations, sales presentations, advertisement classes, and a lot and a lot and a lot of math went down in this building.  (I'm clearly messing with my sunglasses in the picture of the Business Administration sign.)

It was awesome being able to go back to my old stomping grounds.  It was so fun to point out different areas and say, "And this is where I took this class", "This is where I almost fell that one day when it was raining", "And this is where so-and-so and I would study." The campus looks SO DIFFERENT in the best ways possible!  I love the new additions that are there and how much more school pride there seems to be.  Who knows, maybe a football or soccer team eventually?!

I received a top notch education at UTPA and am excited to see what this university will continue to produce.
