This morning I went to a coffee shop on the north side of town with a friend. Though I'm not a coffee drinker I still love the aesthetics and atmosphere of cafes. The music, vibes, energy, and people all contribute to that quaint/cool feeling.
Anyway-while at the coffee shop I learned how to play checkers (no, I never learned) and won my third match. After that we looked at the Frida Kahlo art created by local artists.
Is it cliche to say that I enjoy art? It is, isn't it. Oh, well, who cares. I appreciate art because I am a terrible artist. I have next to no drawing/painting capabilities. I've only made ONE decent painting in my life and it was an abstract piece. But I can't even draw a stick figure. I'm not even mad about it. So when I hear of art shows, it definitely perks my interest because then I can see other people's talent showcased.
Either way, if you're looking for something to do and if you have Facebook, check out the events section. That's how I found this coffee shop event.
What about you, are you an artist?
