One Of My Faves

I finally got my hair done after almost 6 months.  I updated my look with blond(ish) bayalage and trimmed my face framing hair.  Much much much needed update!

Anyway-as we all know I love having a cute/stylish wardrobe and I also love not going broke to afford this.  Thrift shopping is ((obviously)) a great way to keep a stylish and updated wardrobe but even then a $20 Goodwill trip here, a $30 Goodwill trip there will def. add up.  Don't get me wrong, I'll continuously shop at Goodwill and other thrift stores, but there's another avenue that I love to utilize...my friends' closets!!!

Friends come in different shapes, sizes, styles, and sometimes they'll wear something that you wouldn't have picked out for yourself but you still like it.  I love being able to get with my friends and show off things that once adorned our closets that we are willing to part with.  Most of the time I'm showcasing items that I purchased on impulse, or grew out of (literally), or items that somehow reached the darkest parts of my closet  never to see the light of day again.

Either way, I highly encourage getting together with a few friends and engage in a Swap Meet!  No cash handling, no credit cards or payment cubes, just good ol' fashion barter system.  It's totally free and fun and in the end you'll end up with some cute stuff.  Best part is that if you don't end up wearing or using the stuff you snagged at the Swap Meet you didn't spend any money on it!  Guilt free!

Just thought I'd share this with y'all.  What's your favorite way to save?
