Driving Music

Driving home after work at night can be a real drag but I like to use it as an opportunity to reconnect with my music collection.

 If you know me then you know it's not a secret when I say that I love Jason Mraz's music.  Since I was 17 and first listened to his voice sing You and I Both (which I heard before The Remedy) he became my music crush.

I'll be cliche and say that my favorite thing about him is the fact that he writes his own lyrics but it's also more than that.  His music, to me, is witty and there are a lot of play-on-words and tongue-in-cheek lines.

Tonight though I reconnected with a song that I'm thiiiiiis close the being convinced that he wrote about me.  When I saw him sing this in concert at the Tobin Theater last year I was that girl crying.  You all know that girl...the one that cries and keeps repeating "I just love him!"  That was me and you know what....I don't care!  I love this man's music!

A Beautiful Mess

This is the video to A Beautiful Mess from his Live on Earth concert.  I get a case of the feels when he says towards the end "we'll fly like birds not of this earth."  This entire song is just great.  I know the video is long but it's worth it.  "Oh the wait was so worth it."
